Redefining Motherhood: Beyond Birth.
Show notes
Join this conversation between Stacia Beazley, Sónia Gonçalves, Annika Korsten & Julia Neumann on Radically Alive Women Edgecast to explore what it means to be a mother beyond physical birth, and how mothering energy can flow into people, community, animals, and the planet. Stacia shares her impulse for the conversation and her view that some women may not birth children so their mothering nourishes the wider world. Sonia discusses facing possible womb and ovary removal, grief about not experiencing pregnancy, and realizing beliefs that limit love to blood ties, along with fears about accelerated menopause. Annika, six months pregnant at 42, distinguishes declaring motherhood from conception and describes choosing motherhood before pregnancy, while also noting shifting capacity during pregnancy. Julia reflects on valuing women without children, the undervaluing of mothers, menopause as initiation, and cultural dynamics like ownership and competition, while the group discusses “village” child-rearing and reclaiming the word mother. May this conversation be a start for many to follow - in every woman’s life.

00:00:14: This is Radically Alive Women's Agecast.
00:00:20: Hello and welcome to Radically alive women age cast!
00:00:23: My name is Julia Neumann, today I sit here with Sonja González, Stacia Beasley & Annika Kosten to speak about the wider topic of being mother especially without being mother physically or the role of mothers that haven't given birth.
00:00:43: I want to hand pretty much quickly over to you, Stacia who had this impulse to talk about this conversation and will say a bit more where your impulse came from.
00:00:54: Yes thanks Yulia!
00:00:57: Yeah i was in group with Sonja some time ago as part of the healing journey and what it means to be a mother or not being a mother, in relationship with her body.
00:01:16: It reminded me of the group that I ran maybe ten years ago now where groups were coming together to explore What does this mean?
00:01:27: To transition through maiden-mother-crone archetypes.
00:01:35: These different ones are also part depending on which body of work you're looking at.
00:01:42: And what became really clear for me, and I shared with Sonia is that... ...I never had a strong impulse to be mother but I strongly believed in the middle of my mothering years.
00:01:58: In that time It was important- I've come to believe it's very important and vital anyway For some women not birthed as physical child.
00:02:07: so Mother energy we have and we transition through regardless can be poured into parts of the world, the planet people that need those mothering qualities.
00:02:20: And when I spoke to Sonia she said hey i want to have more of a conversation about this feels important...and then I said well let's reach out to Yulian Anika at Renakely Alive Women context and background to how we've landed here.
00:02:41: And I'm curious to hear from you, Sonja
00:02:47: about
00:02:49: what was it in that... In what I spoke?
00:02:52: What sparked a new... That you wanted to bring into conversation and open the space for all of us To weave our wisdom and our bodies knowing this into this place.
00:03:08: Thank You, Stacia.
00:03:12: Well, I'm going through a journey where i am basically being met with the decision of removing my womb and it's touching alot difficult places in me especially this part becoming another.
00:03:37: And im realizing that A mother, for me it was very much about being at source of love.
00:03:56: And the last week I had a possibility spending some time with two amazing little boys that are not blood related
00:04:04: to me
00:04:06: and i noticed That...I have these ideas Of giving Love or Being in Love with someone that had these walls of separation like if I am not their mother, i cannot love them as much.
00:04:39: If they are not blood related...I don't have the right to Love them in The way That I'm able To so the full potential of the love that I carry.
00:04:56: and Hearing you speak now, Stacia and this role of mothering.
00:05:01: I am realizing that the word Mother has been used as a way to colonize woman... ...and to colonized love.
00:05:17: It's like when i was with those two little boys.. ..I was basically holding space!
00:05:26: I was being a spaceholder for their beings to bloom in that very precise moment.
00:05:33: And so, how am I holding myself back from being that spaceholder and being that source of love when...I'm not a mother!
00:05:48: When i'm NOT having nephews or nieces?
00:05:54: How can I be THAT?
00:05:56: because that's something that is deeply nourishing to
00:05:58: me?!
00:06:03: The side of it is this.
00:06:08: I imagine, have no idea that carrying a child being in my body would be A massive doorway for transformation and That's not going to happen most probably.
00:06:29: And so if i'm not going through the door way what other Doorways are there?
00:06:37: For me?
00:06:38: because I'm skipping that one.
00:06:42: And so, and...and i'm scared Because if I remove the womb If I choose to go through that surgery and I would need also To remove the ovaries This other doorway of menopause will Also happen in a way In it's speed.
00:07:06: That is not aligned with The speed of my physical body.
00:07:11: So I'm carrying all these questions and i want to create now some space for what's alive with each one of you, that is what im bringing.
00:07:23: Because it pretty much unknown right now how does this go?
00:07:31: There something you just touched on which has been part my journey Which was...I've always wanted the experience of conception this physical experience of carrying and birthing a child.
00:07:45: There was clarity about that, but I was even more clear that i don't want children in this lifetime.
00:07:51: what comes after that?
00:07:52: But there is something about the physical initiatory experience.
00:07:59: my body has grieved!
00:08:01: It's been really fascinating to have those moments of grieving and deep waves of sadness that feel like they come from my body knowing.
00:08:12: And also then really seeing how these roles of mother, nurturing and empowering and initiating in all of this different roles or archetypes we can step into as a mother are really alive in the world so many ways.
00:08:30: I'd love to hear what this touches on you
00:08:41: currently sitting in New Zealand, and I'm currently pregnant six months.
00:08:49: And it wasn't always so clear that i might be getting pregnant...I am forty-two now!
00:08:55: So that's one reason why it was unclear any other reasons because there were no men inside for a long time who said yes.
00:09:02: but also I didn't really clearly say yes either.
00:09:08: I want to, but maybe i don't want too because there were many reasons that I was playing through for many years and the universe also reflecting back to me by not then just sending a man at once to buy the looks of it.
00:09:27: It kept on saying do you want?
00:09:29: And what comes alive from when I hear you speak Sonja around is this time wasn't so clear, maybe in my late thirties where I was going to become a mother but a friend of mine she became pregnant and we had this vision to become pregnant together.
00:09:49: And... We didn't.
00:09:51: it was her!
00:09:52: ...and i accompanied her along the pregnancy.. ..And It Was Really Clear Along The Process That Somewhere Along The Line I Chose To Be A Mother.
00:10:02: Um....
00:10:03: So I guess putting it out clearly that being a mother is not connected to the physical conception of the child or even having a child.
00:10:15: yet you're able make that declaration and then taking stand for it.
00:10:21: It does take, I think when your'e in context with another woman who also wants live like my friend Hannah To kind of say okay, I want that and even though these other woman That might live in a modern culture context where the idea is there is one mother.
00:10:43: And this one carer?
00:10:44: They might freak them out or they don't know how to navigate.
00:10:48: that you might be saying yeah, and i'm here and i am Setting the boundary.
00:10:53: You don't have to take care of the boundary right now.
00:10:55: Thank you!
00:10:56: I can do it and also make choices to protect These children.
00:11:02: keep their safety look after I have a yes to be with them for six hours, you go.
00:11:07: Um i will find out what they need to eat or ask you...I mean these are the basics and there's obviously more beyond that.
00:11:16: and
00:11:18: um
00:11:19: yeah like it's-that's what I did.
00:11:22: so I chose to be your mother before actually conceiving my own child and it is informing also how I'm now with the pregnancy because it was already clear to me that once And so again, even if you then physically having a child in your body growing it doesn't mean that woman believed they're mother.
00:11:44: Maybe some never actually get to their place.
00:11:46: They might have the child but there may not become a mother.
00:11:50: But its important for me.
00:11:52: leave these distinctions in this space.
00:11:58: I'm currently...I haven't given birth to children physically and i've been pregnant as far.
00:12:04: I am currently with my sister and her two children, my niece in my nephew.
00:12:09: And i'm really facing the difference of life that is between being a physical mother and my own life because like...I notice im an awe off the huge commitment and patience it takes to actually not just give birth but bring them into age where they can start I don't know, think for themselves.
00:12:37: Act for themselves and move
00:12:38: themselfs.".
00:12:39: And that takes so long apparently in my perception of humans.
00:12:44: you know other animals or mammals are quicker but it's like what a commitment!
00:12:49: How many hours?
00:12:50: how many days...how many weeks..How many months..how many years....and i'm in me right now from where i am.
00:12:58: Im glad im not ...that is not my job.
00:13:02: And there's also this part that I can totally relate to, you say Sonja of... This initiation.
00:13:09: That i have not gone through and am aware where.
00:13:11: had ive been going thru it.. I wouldn't be.... Where Im now would somewhere else and possibly also really happy with or content whatever.
00:13:24: But im glad for the question.
00:13:26: what does it mean to me mother?
00:13:29: I think there's something to pierce through for me as well of this, what is my value?
00:13:35: As a woman if i haven't given birth and not even maybe birth the great project.
00:13:40: Then who am I?
00:13:41: you know that This Is What I Have Done.
00:13:43: It Like I've Been Looking For Or I have been...I have created radically alive women co-created in this edge cast And other things like.
00:13:54: I cannot create but There is this hint of or can be the center to To be someone, to be valuable.
00:14:02: as a woman I either have children Or i have to show something else for it.
00:14:06: like?
00:14:06: Like.
00:14:06: I need to do Something Else good For that for The world or something and I think That's Just As Much Bullshit.
00:14:12: This Not Really It's not True.
00:14:16: So What Does it Then Mean?
00:14:18: And Maybe what Is the Potential Of Women That Haven't Given Birth Physically?
00:14:26: Because I come up against this image of what does it mean to be an aunt?
00:14:30: What does that means for me, as a mother who hasn't had children and is with other children.
00:14:43: In terms of okay...I should just hold space on them so much like they were my own children.
00:14:49: or you know there's a lot of thoughts floating in me around this where I'm glad to sit here with you and learn some of your wisdom.
00:15:01: And yeah, it's alive on me when i hear you also maybe want to say that I have witnessed the birth off a child.
00:15:13: so such an honor like I was with my really dear friend sixteen years ago When her first daughter was born.
00:15:21: So I was witnessing the birth of that child.
00:15:25: And I have walked a little beside her as she brought that into life and i've witnessed you in away your reception process, you know Anika?
00:15:35: Your process of receiving the Child or even preparing yourself to receive The Child and this...I remember sitting In A Car With You and we both like decided hey let's Have A Child Together!
00:15:46: You Know We Have Expeemothers Together Something Like That.
00:15:49: and it is like What Does This Mean For Me
00:15:52: Now?!
00:15:52: It Is Clear.
00:15:54: I'm in this menopausal transition.
00:15:56: I am totally in the changing years and it leaves me, I don't know some days i'm a mess.
00:16:03: It leaves me fogged up on my head.
00:16:06: It leaves crumbling identities.
00:16:12: Lots of things that used to be didn't work anymore.
00:16:15: And so also that is touched when I listened to you Sonja by.
00:16:19: Ah yeah, true.
00:16:20: I mean i have that because i have ovaries and the hormones are changing And it is a massive initiation That as i can perceive in my system at the age of forty seven It's been going for good three years so you could really notice.
00:16:37: So it was a lot moving to listen to you.
00:16:41: Thank You
00:16:45: Something coming alive when you shared about.
00:16:52: You know, you have to show like either mother.
00:16:54: You showed something else and I actually Partially agree And also disagree that there's actually a curse on the word mother in the world Like.
00:17:06: because my experience at my like process and minor process has been Well, you're either our mother and that's not valuable or your not a mother That's also not valuable.
00:17:18: So for me this conversation something to do with the reclamation of this word, and then the power of it.
00:17:26: And there's connection to the source that we all have as women whether they be birthed in his lifetime or not.
00:17:33: but we've done another lifetimes an-an we know it I was witnessing a birth is well on as i was in the witnessing position for the first time felt like up in their hundred thousand times and never at the same time.
00:17:47: so connect to this archetype of the mother, and I'm interested in that too.
00:17:54: To write a new old story about that word?
00:18:06: While listening all my sadness is sad because i realize how much the constructs of being a mother
00:18:20: whatever
00:18:21: ideas or expectations go around it of this connection between women
00:18:31: in
00:18:31: modern culture.
00:18:33: Because speaking from my experiences, I always wanted to be a mother since i was a little girl and I had no idea at all...I don't have memories of my parents or the people around me invoking this in me!
00:18:50: And they were actually quite surprised that.
00:18:56: And it was very connected to loving.
00:19:02: To loving and holding a being, and discover who is this being going to become?
00:19:10: Like...and I will go on this journey with them creating space for them to be come!
00:19:19: And i used write letters like in books for my unborn children, like this is an amazing book I would love you to read if you want.
00:19:28: So it was something that was very present for me and children would literally flock in my direction And i had some situations where their mothers felt threatened by this because of attention Because of losing status or something.
00:19:53: so There's also, from what I perceive is that children are also seen as property.
00:20:01: They belong to me but at the same time there is such a burden because i've been having also the privilege to spend time with women that our mothers and it's such a burdens in the way they're currently experiencing motherhood Because its lonely!
00:20:22: There aren't other woman around the men that I'm witnessing holding space for children with them, they are kind of not.
00:20:39: And if there would be this change in... just like you were saying Anika ...of i'm going to be a mother with you or with whomever.
00:20:56: The collaboration between women and this heaviness Holding space for a child.
00:21:06: because yes, it's an investment of energy time and attention.
00:21:11: It's a huge investment.
00:21:13: And so I would love to To witness women fostering a kind of culture where Love is in free flow and there is no property or ownership and that kind of love would be able not only to allow children to bloom in more ways, but also the women who are giving birth to these children.
00:21:51: And so I'm really touched by this experience you've been sharing with Anika regarding your declaration about being a mother even if I'm not giving birth to a
00:22:39: child.
00:22:40: And my words aren't coming.
00:22:50: I'm not sure what's happening, and feeling a little bit stuck right now.
00:22:55: There is community in Germany that i've spent some time with called ZEG.
00:23:00: What really appreciated hearing from talking to different people.
00:23:05: men there Is the children are of village?
00:23:11: The adults raised their kids.
00:23:13: It creates possibilities for this conversation to be Mother, choose to be mother and to some children where there's resonance.
00:23:27: To mother the mothers, to mother.
00:23:29: the garden that supports the mothers to raise their children bring this energy different qualities of mother when it is needed.
00:23:39: It seems so much more fluid When we are in a village space together rather than Houses and walls around couples or individuals where we have to define who We are Based on our one role whether it's a mother Or job, or whatever.
00:24:00: It is that this more modern culture existence seems to Demand the request And then breaking out of that in being in village Being some kind of Village space Where?
00:24:20: in this role of mother.
00:24:22: How is it for you Stacey, not to be a Mother?
00:24:27: I am a Mother and i've made this declaration also many years ago when A Friend Of Mine who was running a magazine published its Mothers' Days.
00:24:41: coming soon we're calling from people to write articles about being a mother.
00:24:46: how do you appreciate your mother?
00:24:53: And I bring these qualities in this ways, and there's ways.
00:24:56: And i want to acknowledge the women that are mothering in the world.
00:25:01: you know In a possibility management World then have been connected too an unknown all of you through.
00:25:08: I think There is this idea if they're different bodies mental body physical body feeling body it and I really I Really see and believe him?
00:25:20: and love to pour his mother energy from my heart to be with the child and adolescent parts of physically grown adults where these bodies have been stunted for whatever reason, you know.
00:25:36: For what ever reason?
00:25:37: Where there's being pain or trauma or cultural differences that don't allow us come into our full form in our formaturity.
00:25:47: And I... That is how it is To be a mother and I don't think i could do that in the way That, I'd do without having you know if.
00:25:56: I had a birth to child Then my attention would have gone somewhere else.
00:26:02: And who knows maybe it would've been possible both?
00:26:07: And I really feel that's important.
00:26:09: like that's why this thing This for me is important.
00:26:12: this conversation Is important And I remember running holding A group space at a women's festival.
00:26:20: those fifty or sixty Women came to talk about this.
00:26:23: child-free women, was the way it was phrased at that time.
00:26:27: And there were women in their sixties and seventies.
00:26:30: with tears running down they face saying oh my god I've never thought about myself having not birthed a child.
00:26:40: as a seventy year old woman...I kind of just felt like i didn't have value because I did give birth..and I faded into the background.
00:26:48: now we're having this conversation where I did nurture or where it did protect, bring these qualities of mother into the world.
00:27:03: It's like...I want to break this chain on this idea.
00:27:08: what is Mother?
00:27:11: and that can be seen in everyone.
00:27:23: May move this question off okay?
00:27:25: I've never just declared that i am a mother And actually, I don't know that I want to.
00:27:31: Well...I
00:27:32: am not a mother and i'm fine with
00:27:35: it.".
00:27:35: So I laugh because whatever we want can do this.
00:27:42: You wanna declare that?
00:27:43: It empowers you!
00:27:44: It helps you
00:27:45: go!!
00:27:46: I love
00:27:46: it!!!
00:27:47: It also opens up my horizon for me…I dont think thats what I want.
00:27:54: Im NOT A MOTHER.
00:27:58: Im something else A woman, I'm a woman.
00:28:05: And wow!
00:28:10: Then what if there's nothing after that?
00:28:15: At the same time we are operating in physical dimension where having a physical child does something it is just impossible to negate.
00:28:23: I don't know where to go.
00:28:29: What you said, Annika is very much alive in me and maybe this takes the conversation not way we want it today.
00:28:34: but i'm going just gonna mention briefly of being around my sister as a mother-to-her.
00:28:41: children again notice that conversations have had several episodes on motherhood.
00:28:48: graduating from motherhood becoming a mother how undervalued their role was standard societies.
00:28:58: How undervalued that is financially, how end of valued that is with appreciation?
00:29:07: These women are managers.
00:29:08: they are highly efficient managers of their families.
00:29:12: They organize everything.
00:29:14: if they don't Schedule the doctor's appointments for the kids dentists whatever nothing happens.
00:29:22: this Is what I've heard from many woman.
00:29:27: I mean, eventually something would happen.
00:29:28: And not saying men don't do that but it's just the.
00:29:32: what i have seen is That they Manage and think in their awareness essence so many different places at once?
00:29:39: And They still function and they go through their menstruation and they Go Through Their Mood Swings and Still They like They carry all of that and you know.
00:29:48: So this Is a shadow Of The Culture That Still Is the Mainstream culture.
00:29:55: At the same time, I see also the shadow in us women of... In mothers if you touched upon that Sonja off.
00:30:07: Well not competing for love or being Not wanting others to come too close because That is the value where they get.
00:30:19: Where mothers may get value from From having children and at least here i have something To show yeah?
00:30:25: And think unconsciously.
00:30:26: that Is often The case.
00:30:28: I know that my mother had that.
00:30:29: It's like, hey!
00:30:31: i'm so proud of my children and these are... These are my diplomas.. My Children Are My Diplomas And ...and I see also this thing off there is such a. it's like they're a monopolist Of Love.
00:30:45: You Know They Hold The Monopoly Of Love And They Hold the Monopoly Over The Family Because Holding It All Together They Also In Control They Know How Things Go And They Can Steer Things.
00:30:57: Why Am I Saying That?
00:31:00: I think mainly because it matters to me that motherhood gets its proper place, also physical motherhood which i want to honor just as you said Stacia.
00:31:11: It's worth honoring.
00:31:13: without that role we wouldn't be here.
00:31:16: none of us would be here without our mothers non-ofus.
00:31:21: and then there is this whole image.
00:31:24: I have not had role models really for where women stand in their power and they say, ''I am NOT a
00:31:32: mother.''.
00:31:34: And this is fine.
00:31:35: It's just fine!
00:31:37: I'm not a mother...and i still mother or don't mother ...or whatever.... Just own it and not go fade into the background like you see but show up with it maybe becomes irrelevant but name also.
00:31:57: One of the things that I've been noticing in this journey is how much i was expecting That, would become just one thing meaning?
00:32:11: i really wanted to be a mother and And that's it.
00:32:17: but then.
00:32:17: I started discovering The feelings work and Space-holding for people To feel going through processes and something Started flourishing inside of me like this is really precious to me.
00:32:34: and And another thing started becoming apparent, which was I'm not sure.
00:32:41: I want to share my time and attention With the small being.
00:32:50: do I really want to do this fully?
00:32:54: because i'm Really having a lot of fun.
00:32:58: so This was also happening in me at the same time as I have so much love.
00:33:27: But when?
00:33:28: but someone at some point asked me well, why don't you just Become a solo mother?
00:33:34: and I was like oh interesting.
00:33:36: That's not what I really wanted.
00:33:39: I Wanted to have that other thing?
00:33:41: I want it to go To have that another experience And not just I want to be a mother because I wanna Be a mother and i wanna Have A child!
00:33:49: That Was Not The Thing and so these two realities, experiences were happening at the same time in me.
00:34:00: It's like I really want this other thing but i'm enjoying so much meeting women discovering processes researching my inner world and then writing it and creating spaces...I am having so much fun!
00:34:21: And I think I wanted all for myself.
00:34:28: There is another thread, let me check.
00:34:35: I lost it if i remember...I'll get back to it but its really like the kind of nourishment that im receiving with things that Im doing and creating so pleasurable That when I see other women holding space for children I'm like..i don't want through this experience This not a mother world motherhood that I want, and i also want to explore more of this potential that is in me.
00:35:12: Of...I don't know what's my next step?
00:35:15: What is the next thing that i'm going to uncover? What Is The Space That Im Going To Create? Is It A Bridge
00:35:20: House?,
00:35:20: Do I Want To Live With
00:35:21: People?,
00:35:22: I Wanna Hold Space For Women To Have Different Conversations.
00:35:26: So And I Need My Energy Time & Attention for That!
00:35:35: You discovered all these experiences coexisting at the same time in you.
00:35:43: And how was that for you?
00:35:48: Ever since, do you have something to say Anika and would you say it?
00:35:55: I resonate with this part as much As with a part of that.
00:36:01: Also actually wants To give Time energy and attention to your child and In the pregnancy process there must be hormones happening that just make it more possible, I'm steering in the direction of being a project creation space.
00:36:19: And... It's still happening!
00:36:23: The projects and ideas are coming like there is downloads happening but i can't hold them.
00:36:35: It's not the capacity, it is more like there a choice from my body that says actually I'm holding space for pregnancy right now and everything else after.
00:36:48: What was more alive in me were thought around
00:36:54: how
00:36:56: most of us probably haven't as women experienced living this full creation.
00:37:02: part ourselves when we are younger.
00:37:05: so part fantastic.
00:37:08: It's great that there is women who choose to do and fully go in, bath it... and let that thrive, so that can be an inspiration for other adults around.
00:37:22: And then it can flow on to the other adult's raised children... ...so they keep flowing.
00:37:27: It is almost like we have to find out first how this goes before even being able to hold space for another human being….
00:37:37: …to let creative energy flow!
00:37:40: So I see as quite a task of myself and the humans who choose to be part.
00:37:47: they're welcoming the child and walking alongside, how does that even go?
00:37:54: And it's what you say Sonja.
00:37:55: There is such clarity... It's not like I have to cut parts of myself off but i come second in a way then sometimes don't come second..I want to come first!
00:38:06: How do we go when my needs or necessities also need attention?
00:38:16: you know, when I say well if i'm not well the child won't be well either.
00:38:19: but a child right now needs.
00:38:21: this just isn't that.
00:38:22: That's important so and this dance it takes such a growing up inside me as a woman to find out is it my piece?
00:38:32: Now there needs to come or Is It The Child Piece that Needs To Come Right Now?
00:38:35: And Who Then Is The Person That Takes Care of Me?
00:38:38: Or All These Variables That Need To Be Navigated?
00:38:45: The world needs women like you discover that part fully as well, so they can flow into together somewhat to create how it needs to go.
00:38:57: I have a question or observation there about this again Like a shadow amongst these woman of the competition Or comparing?
00:39:05: A way that competition control up is Comparing and so if i compare myself then i can be better than You are worse than you.
00:39:13: So again in away i'm going to competition because to be okay here, then I might need to be better than you.
00:39:19: So i have to put you down or
00:39:21: whatever.".
00:39:22: And when we cannot simply be with all the experiences that we have and want to have and acknowledge them and say yes We need to force ourselves into roles or concepts that aren't actually ours.
00:39:50: I wonder what you know about competition with mothers, the shadow of motherhood and like the competition between women?
00:40:08: I noticed for example...I had this experience as i mentioned before child that I met during summer vacations.
00:40:20: We were all spending holidays together and he kind of wanted to be around me,
00:40:26: And
00:40:27: He wanted me to feed him To play with them and at some point we were sitting in a restaurant and He wanted to sit next to me and it was really clear That the mother was really upset without...and i remember clearly her saying you're not allowed to sit there.
00:40:48: And the way he looked at me, as I said silent and I said nothing it broke my heart because we could see that.
00:41:00: why is this happening?
00:41:01: what's the problem?
00:41:02: There's nothing wrong!
00:41:05: To this day i am so scared of overstepping with my love and attention And I feel really sad that at the moment, i did not have the capacity to take a stand for That little boy and say no.
00:41:32: There's No problem For him To stay here.
00:41:35: So...I see this as still A grip on me.
00:41:41: When Im engaging with children I'm kind of like.. I want make myself smaller And not speak what I See & What I Feel so that this woman does not feel threatened by me, or does not try to attack me.
00:41:58: Or does not unleash whatever emotion she's having on this child and By doing So I'm also playing the game And...so This is what comes up with your question?
00:42:14: Like how can i Navigate those spaces?
00:42:20: because it's a different culture from the culture creating for myself.
00:42:25: How do I have the conversation?
00:42:32: Because it's a tough one to open up space where, to mother or father like...I got this!
00:42:45: I'm holding space right now.
00:42:47: so and that is what i am with your
00:42:51: question.".
00:43:04: One experience I regularly have which is similar to what you said Sonja, but with animals.
00:43:08: Is that people's animals?
00:43:11: Come to me quite often.
00:43:13: and this woman had this dog on a really long leash And they kept looking back in.
00:43:17: it kept Looking Back and It wanted To come closer and it started to come Closer.
00:43:21: and she pulled This leash so tight That it pulled the dogs head back and it yelled.
00:43:27: and i just felt So sad...and could feel their like this closeness in this woman.
00:43:43: Her body posture was in, she put her hood on her head and then started to walk faster.
00:43:51: And I know that one of the ways where mother energy comes forward is with creatures.
00:43:59: it's not just about humans.
00:44:01: It's more actually... Where i'm touched More and more how animals are treated on the planet in so many different ways.
00:44:15: And I know that's like it cracks my heart open, probably moreso than what i see going with humans and yes also with humans at times.
00:44:28: but this is part of where my mother energy pours into the world or to tend plants work with people and there's so many different ways that this energy can flow.
00:44:48: And I was in a car today on the way back home to come to this space, asked my friend how is it for you not have child?
00:44:56: because she really wanted me mother?
00:44:58: She said...I love my cats!
00:45:00: I just pour all of my love into them.
00:45:03: I've always got three or more cats.
00:45:06: I love plants, partners children.
00:45:08: like its.
00:45:09: from being a mother having my heart open enough that love can flow into the world.
00:45:18: And maybe, this is it!
00:45:20: Maybe we let our hearts open enough... ...that Love can flow in to a world where it's needed and calling us Where the heart space wants to magnetically move towards
00:45:44: Seems like the place to end at.
00:45:48: I thank you already and is there anything that needs to be said?
00:45:53: To come, to a close
00:45:57: For me it's... It's Thank You for your yes Yulia And Anika To-to Be part of this conversation in this space.
00:46:11: I feel glad for this conversation to have started here.
00:46:15: i hope it continues In many women Spaces and maybe also here at some point.
